Washington Township Skin Cancer Screening

October 24, 2016

A special thank you to our very own Casey Croes, PA-C, for volunteering her morning to the Washington Township Skin Cancer Screening on October 24th!  In an effort to aid patients with early detection and treatment of any skin cancers, our staff volunteers at several Cancer Screenings throughout the year.  Casey visited the Washington Township Senior Center located on E. Springtown Road to provide screenings to township locals.

Belmar Skin Cancer Screening

Our goal at The Derm Group is simple: Early detection and treatment of all skin cancers.  To aid us in achieving our goal, out providers often volunteer at local events where we can offer skin cancer screenings. David Davidson, PA-C recently conducted a skin cancer screening at Belmar Beach in conjunction with CentraSate Healthcare System.  Over 150 people were screened, including the local Police Department and lifeguards, and David was able to spot several cancerous and precancerous lesions. A special thank you to David for braving the 95 degree heat to help save lives!

The Derm Group is on a mission to make our communities aware of the importance of early detection and treatment of all skin cancers.  To that end, our providers routinely volunteer their time to conduct free community skin cancer screenings.  David Davidson, Certified Physician Assistant (and the former President of the PA Society of NJ) and Medical Assistant Jamie Fuhri recently conducted a skin cancer screening at Centra State Hospital in Freehold NJ.  Thanks to David and Jamie's dedication, dozens of patients were screened at no cost.
